Residential property window cleaner

Today Spick and Span window cleaners cleaned all the outside windows of a three bedroom end of terrace residential property located in East Dulwich, SE22.It is one of many residential properties that we have cleaned , although this was for the first time.

At the front of the residential property  were two sash windows and a bay window which were cleaned. At the rear were two sashes a wooden framed french door a sliding glass bi-fold door and a large all-glass kitchen extension which housed two velux window, which all were thoroughly washed, as was a UPVC framed window above the extension .

The time spent cleaning the windows at this his in total was 2 hours. The reason was that the homeowners had not had the windows cleaned in sometime due to building work.

The job ran very smoothly, although there was one or two access problems, for instance at the front of the house there were some slippery tiles and sand on some of the paving slabs, which made the ladder placement a concern, but this was overcome by locating a safer place to rest the ladder. At the back of the property it was decided not to use a ladder at all because of the risk, due to the wooden decking, and so a safer alternative in the water-fed pole method of window cleaning was used.

Access to window above ,and the velux windows above the kitchen extension was not straightforward as the tile above the extension were very fragile, and so could not be stood upon. But these were accessed and cleaned safely by working from a wall which provided a sturdy and safe platform to clean the glass from.

The kitchen extension was of complete glass, but the difficulty in cleaning this proved to be the thistles that had been planted tightly to the glass, these need to be treated sympathetically so as to prevent damage whilst glass washing, but the effect of the clean afterward was that the glass dazzled with a high sheen as the sun reflected off of it.

As the fanlight of the french door was cleaned, a little water ran inside of top of the seal, which was quickly noticed by the window cleaner, who then took preventative measures and cleaned the residual water that had leaked inside the house. the bi-fold doors were cleaned with a window cleaners hand mop and squeegeed off and after this the job came to an end and Spick and Span window cleaners went of to clean the windows of another residential property in  East Dulwich
