Today Spick & Span window cleaners carried out commercial window cleaning on behalf of the Ovalhouse Theatre in Oval, next to London’s Oval Cricket Ground in Kennington.
Spick & Span window cleaners carry out domestic and commercial window cleaning for clients across South London and are often employed to clean windows that are very high up and difficult to reach, such as office buildings, galleries, warehouses and large glass-fronted buildings like this one.
The windows of the theatre had been badly neglected and were extremely dirty and grimy, much to the caller’s dismay. This was due to the building’s location next to a very busy main road, which is a key arterial route into central London, combined with the fact that the windows had not been cleaned for many years.
When Spick & Span were contacted to carry out the work, the owners were aware that this would be a challenging job. However, Spick & Span were fully prepared for the task.
Spick & Span window cleaners are able to clean large commercial properties with ease and use the latest window cleaning technology, including large carbon fibre telescopic window cleaning poles that are ideal for reaching high windows.

Spick & Span took great care to work safely at this site and used high-visibility signage near all working areas, as the building remained open to the public during the window cleaning.
To reach the high windows, a 35ft telescopic pole was used. The top window panes were cleaned using a brush with a side-to-side motion to agitate the built-up dirt, which was then thoroughly rinsed away. This process was repeated across the entire glass frontage of the building.
The road-facing windows were cleaned using a two-step process: first rinsed with water, then cleaned using a mop and finished with a squeegee. Office windows were cleaned using the traditional S-motion window cleaning technique. Automatic doors and internal glass walls were also cleaned as part of the service.
This commercial building was given a very thorough clean and looked significantly better afterwards. The owners were extremely appreciative and described the transformation as “Amazing!”.
In total, the window cleaning took just over two hours to complete from start to finish.
