Spick & Span Window Cleaning recently carried out an external window clean at a five-storey property in Hyde Park Gate, SW7, located in the heart of South Kensington.
The property featured a balcony on the second floor at the front elevation. At the rear, there was a glass roof lantern, two Velux windows, and seven large sash windows, all of which required professional cleaning.
The full clean was completed in approximately two and a half hours by a two-person team.
Access & equipment
To safely reach the high-level windows at the front of the property, a 60ft carbon fibre water-fed pole was used. At the rear, a ladder was required to access and clean the roof lantern safely and effectively.
All windows were thoroughly washed using purified water, ensuring a spotless, streak-free finish. The property’s windows were all traditional Georgian sash windows, and the specialist brushes we used are particularly effective for this style of glazing.
The work was arranged by the family’s personal assistant, who wanted the windows cleaned ahead of the homeowner’s return from overseas. The housekeeper was present on the day to assist with access and ensure the work was completed smoothly.
