window cleaning service at a
five-storey period property on Hyde Park Gate, South Kensington (SW7).
This prestigious residential street, located close to Kensington Gardens, is known for its large Georgian townhouses,

Project Overview
The property featured a combination of traditional and modern glazing, including a
rear glass roof lantern, Velux windows, and
seven large Georgian sash windows across multiple floors.
A second-floor balcony at the front of the property added further complexity,
requiring careful positioning and controlled access during the clean.
The full clean was completed in approximately two and a half hours by a two-person team.
Access & Cleaning Approach
To safely reach upper-level windows, we used a 60ft carbon fibre water-fed pole system,
allowing us to clean high-level glazing without ladders at the front of the property.
At the rear, a ladder was carefully used to access the roof lantern, ensuring a thorough clean across all glass surfaces.
All windows were cleaned using purified water, which dries naturally to a clear,
streak-free finish without leaving residue — particularly important for large period windows exposed to London pollution.
Working in a Managed Property Environment
The clean was arranged by the homeowner’s personal assistant in preparation for their return from overseas.
On the day, the housekeeper assisted with access, allowing the work to be carried out efficiently and without disruption.
