Window Cleaning in a Pimlico SW1 Period Conversion

Today, Spick & Span Window Cleaning were booked to carry out a
regular window cleaning service at a beautiful two-bedroom period conversion in Pimlico SW1,
close to Pimlico Station in central London.

The property is a four-storey conversion located above a shop and features traditional
Georgian sash windows along with large French doors, all of which required
both internal and external window cleaning.

Property Overview & Window Types

The building features multi-paned sash windows and casement windows that had built up
significant dirt during the recent wet winter period in London.

In addition, two sets of large French doors required external cleaning, which we were
able to safely access from the property’s balcony.

Internal & External Window Cleaning

For the internal clean, we carefully opened and lowered the sash windows to access the
external panes safely from inside the property.

We used professional hand tools including squeegees, scrim cloths, and detailing pads,
alongside dust sheets to protect flooring and interiors throughout the process.

This method allowed us to achieve a thorough clean without disruption to the property.

Careful Working Practices

As with all internal window cleaning, particular care was taken to prevent any water
spillages or mess inside the home.

Protective coverings were used where required, and all work was carried out with respect
for the client’s furnishings and living space.

Results

The difference was immediately visible once the work was completed, with all sash windows
and French doors restored to a clear, streak-free finish.

The property’s increased natural light was especially noticeable after the external glass
had been fully cleaned following the winter weather.

The full job was completed in approximately two hours.
