We recently completed a specialist window cleaning job for a luxury ninth-floor penthouse apartment in the Millennium Village area of Greenwich SE10.
This high-rise property included floor-to-ceiling glazed panels, a mezzanine level, office space, two bedrooms, and a balcony overlooking the River Thames. The homeowner had previously struggled to find a company willing to take on the job due to the height and complexity involved.
The main challenge was accessing the upper windows safely. The ceilings were exceptionally high (approximately 14ft), and traditional ladders could not be transported via the lift. In addition, the narrow balcony featured a metal grated floor, meaning a water-fed pole system could not be used externally.
To overcome this, we used a 3.5m telescopic pole and traditional window cleaning techniques to carefully clean both the internal and external glass surfaces to a high standard.
The results were immediately noticeable, with the homeowner particularly pleased to finally enjoy clear views across the River Thames and towards Canary Wharf.
