Today Spick & Span window cleaners went down to Notting Hill to clean the windows of 2 flats on behalf of a Landlord who was in urgent need of a window cleaner for his properties in W11. He needed to have the windows cleaned within the week as new tenants were due to move in. Deeply grateful that Spick & Span window cleaners were able to come down and clean windows in Notting Hill at such short notice. He was anxious to make the window cleaning booking
These properties are managed by estate agents, and so Spick & Span window cleaners were instructed to pick up the keys to the property from Marsh and Parsons estate agents based in nearby Holland Park Avenue. Because the Landlord lives out of town payment for the work was done through a bank transfer, which he found very convenient, half of the total being paid up front.
The landlord was a delight to work for as he was very helpful in sending diagrams of the windows that needed cleaning. He also ensured that all of the windows within the properties could be easily accessed by ensuring the keys to window locks were on hand at the time of the window cleaning.
On arriving to clean the windows at this leafy street in Notting Hill it was noted that both flats that required window cleaning were within the same building, which was four stories high. The flats were both split-level, the first being a ground and first floor, 2 bedroom flat, and the second being a second and third floor, 2 bedroom flat. At the front of the property there was 1 bay window, 4 sash windows, and 1 Velux window. At the back of the property there was 1 glass roof, 9 sash windows, and 1 small casement window.
When Spick & Span window cleaners arrived to clean the windows, there was a team of around 6 cleaners who were spring cleaning the building preparing it for the new tenants and so window cleaning began at the front of building, so as not to interrupt them. The cleaners were unsure as to how the top windows could be reached due to the height and they were genuinely amazed, which could be seen when they peered out of the windows to see Spick & Span window cleaners extending their window cleaning poles, which poles can reach windows that are well over forty feet high, without the uses of ladders. The windows at the front of the property were all thoroughly scrubbed and then rinsed clean, before window cleaner work moved to inside. After consulting with the cleaning supervisor, it was agreed that the window cleaning should start at the very top of the building, and this is what took place. All windows including the Velux was cleaned using traditional window cleaning techniques, and dust sheets and overshoes were worn so as not to cause any mess. The glass roof was reached using a water-fed pole and the algae and moss that has gathered was loosened and the rinsed clean.
After the jobs completion the keys were left with the cleaning supervisor who promptly returned them to the estate agents, ready to be handed to the new tenants of this spotlessly clean property.
The Landlord was very please at how smoothly it all went.
