Window cleaner in Eaton Place SW1X

Window cleaning in SW1VToday Spick & Span window cleaners were happy to go down to Belgravia to attend a window cleaning booking that had been made by and Estate Agent in Belgravia who required a window cleaner to come there to clean one of the many properties that they manage in the Belgravia area. Professional window cleaners were required to give some windows in Eaton Place, Belgravia, a good going over.
The windows that were to be cleaned in this Belgravia flat were on the first floor of a double fronted elevation period property. There were eight sash windows in total, and judging by the outward appearance of them they had not been cleaned for a very long while. The frames in particular were very dirty and in need of a good scrub by the window cleaner.
Window cleaner in Eaton Place SW1VThis property was in need of a makeover in preparation for new tenants who were soon occupy this luxurious apartment set near to Belgrave Square.
Because the windows faced a busy main road, they had become very dusty, and this had restricted light from reaching within the property. The outward appearance of the property was also tarnished because of this and did not make the right impression.
All windows including the frames were thoroughly washed clean, and the dirt that ran down from the panes and frames was quite noticeable as was the difference in appearance of the windows afterwards.
In total the window cleaner spends around 1 hour scrubbing the windows and afterwards rinsing them to a high shine finish.
The difficulty with this particular call-out, and no doubt the reason why some window cleaners may have found this job difficult is that the windows were located above a basement which the client did not have access to. The way Spick & Span window cleaners get around this is by using a reach and wash method of window cleaning which involves using, telescopic pole able to reach over 50ft. This pole is more than adequate to clean raised ground floor and first floor flats in fact it can reach even the fourth and fifth floors! This method of cleaning is ideally suited to cleaning windows that are difficult to access as was the case with this call-out today.
Naturally working with long poles can be dangerous especially in the windy weather that Britain has been recently experiencing, so it was essential that great care be taken and all hazards were identified and managed.

Window cleaner Walton Street Chelsea SW3

Chelsea was the destination today for a team of professional window cleaners who went to clean the windows of a Chelsea property that originally, in the 19th century, was built as a school and later served as a magistrates court. This old court house building is in the Chelsea district which borders Knightsbridge and all the external windows of this home have now been cleaned twice by our team of reliable Chelsea window cleaners working in the Chelsea area.
Although this property in Chelsea has very large sash windows at the the front and side elevations, the addition of a conservatory at the rear, glazed roof lights and a small glass pavilion at the back as well as a single storey basement extension, the original owners had much more ambitious plans for this property which included
a three-storey basement extension, however this was rejected by Kensington and Chelsea council’s planning.
Spick & Span window cleaners clean the windows of this Chelsea property with the greatest of care and used professional window cleaner tools which included traditional hand window cleaning tools as well as more specialised access equipment for the taller windows.
As part of the contract all the french doors in the basement were cleaned as were the frames. The pavilion and conservatory glass panels were also cleaned.
This Job took approximately three hours from start to finish.

Window cleaner in Kensington Court W8

Window cleaning in W8Kensington Court W8 was the destination for today’s window cleaning call-out request.

Spick & Span window cleaners were contracted to come to Kensington to do a post-builders window clean on on behalf of a building company who had recently completed their work in the street.
The building company had promised residents that after the completion of their work they would arrange for all the windows to be cleaned, this they did and in keeping with their agreement, they contacted local Kensington window cleaners.

Spick & Span used window cleaning used tools and techniques that were up to the task. The challenge of the work was that the window were very dirty and needed very deep cleaning. Also the windows were very difficult to reach. Rather than use scaffolding which was initially suggested, Spick & Span window cleaners used 60 ft telescopic poles to reach the 4th storey windows. Bristle window cleaning brushes were also used as these has sufficient scrubbing power. Pure water was jetted through micro-bore hose, to the brush head, via carbon telescopic poles and the window panes were scrubbed and then rinsed, leaving the windows clear and translucent afterwards.

The windows were left noticeably cleaner and the residents were very grateful to at last have clean windows.

The job took approximately 3 hours to complete.

Shop window cleaning in Knightsbridge

Window Cleaning Scotch Corner Knightsbridge Spick & Span window cleaners travelled down to Knightsbridge, SW1X  to clean some shop windows as a part of a contract to help renovate an iconic building on Scotch Corner, Brompton Road, Knightsbridge. This contract may well become a repeat job in the future, but initially was undertaken as part of Spick & Span’s one-off Knightsbridge window cleaning services.

Spick & Span window cleaners were needed here in Knightsbridge to carry out work urgently because the client had a very tight time frame in which to undertake works at the property and so with just a few day’s notice the work was started.

Work began very early on the day, at around 5am ,before the street was full of pedestrians, this made the window cleaning easier as it limited the number of hazards.

Window Cleaning Shop in KnightsbridgeThe windows of this the very tall iconic shopfront, which in the past was the store for Burberry’s,  were in a dusty and dismal  condition, due to building works on the opposite side of the road, and the smog and exhaust  fumes that flow out of the vehicles that travel down this very busy part of South Kensington. Because of the shops close proximity to the road, great care had to be given to safety whilst window cleaning here so as to prevent danger to pedestrians and motorists.
Special hi-vis hose was used and cones were used so as to comply with health and safety.

The client required that all ten of the windows to be thoroughly cleaned. The window cleaning also included  the cleaning of the frames.

The reason that Spick & Span window cleaners were contracted for this cleaning work was because the contractor had to fit out the shop windows with vinyl advertising, therefore the client wanted to ensure that all the shop windows were cleaned first.

Spick & Span window cleaners were more than happy to carry out this task as part of the Knightsbridge window cleaner service they offer and the results of the cleaning made a huge difference to shop’s appearance.

In all the work took around 5 hours for 2 window cleaners to complete. Water-fed pole cleaning techniques were used for the window cleaning in most areas, however some of the regular height windows were used with an applicator pad and squeegee and a specialised window cleaning solution.

Spick & Span offer window cleaning in Knightsbridge, Kensington and surrounding areas and would be delighted to brighten up your work space, or dwelling.

Conservatory cleaning in South Kensington

Window Cleaning in SW7Today Spick & Span window cleaners went to South Kensington, SW7 to clean the windows of a conservatory of a first floor flat in South Kensingon on behalf of a client who had recently had decorators in and required professional window cleaners to clean up the mess that had been left behind.

The conservatory that was to be cleaned was difficult to clean because there was limited access from below, also  the windows had not been cleaned for a number of years which showed.

Spick & Span who use professional methods of window cleaning used purified water to clean the conservatory and used a long telescopic pole and brush to scrub the windows and frames of the dirty conservatory windows.

The client was impressed with the modern equipment and style of cleaning that was used to clean his conservatory windows and commented that previous window cleaners had had to lean from the windows and work from the ledges which he recognised was unsafe. He also said that previous window cleaners had not been able to reach all the windows due tot the equipment they had used.

Spick & Span cleaned both the inside and outside of the conservatory for this client.

The inside windows comprised of large french doors, patio doors and sash windows above the kitchen units. There were also intenal glass panels that were washed. Spick & Span window cleaning above glass extensions in SW7

Window cleaning above basement in SW7Today Spick & Span window cleaners went to a property in South Kensington located in-between Brompton Road and Thurloe Square to clean the front and back windows for a client who resides in the area, including windows above a glass extension.

The handsome four storey, partly stuccoed, 1830’s home situated close to Thurloe Gardens, is part of an estate of terrace houses constructed by builder James Bonnin, after John Alexander exercised his right to repossess and develop a four-acre site in 1826. The estate later became known as the Alexander estate.

Spick & Span window cleaners perform regular window cleaning maintenance on this home, which has a glass basement extension, in South Kensington as part of a regular window cleaning contract cleaning.

Spick & Span have the equipment and professional knowledge needed to clean Georgian windows safely and efficiently and have an advantage over many window cleaners who work in Chelsea and Kensington who are unable to clean windows that are located above glass basement extensions and other windows that are very difficult to access.

Spick & Span window cleaners are regularly informed about ‘window cleaners’ who take extreme risks as they carry out their work, for instance,  we hear of  ‘window cleaners’ who ‘clean windows by leaning out of windows’, or ‘window cleaners’ who ‘endanger their lives by climbing  on to ledges’, we also hear of ‘window cleaners’ who do other ‘risky things’ like  ‘standing on glass roofs’. Not only do these antics cause alarm to those whose homes they clean, but they also jeopardise their lives which ought to be view as precious both to themselves and at the very least to their families.

Spick & Span window cleaners avoid risk  by exploring all safe options of window cleaning before starting any window cleaning job. Spick & Span will always opt to clean windows by using safe window cleaning methods. Safe window cleaning methods include  the ‘reach and wash’ system of window cleaning which they use to clean windows 60ft. high (above the average height of homes) in Chelsea, South Kensington, Belgravia and Mayfair and Marylebone, without incurring any harm to the window cleaner himself or damage to the windows of the home that are being cleaned, even if these windows are located above a glass basement extension, such as many in SW1, SW3, SW7 are.
