Spick and Span window cleaners went to Nunhead today to clean a split level flat in Nunhead SE15. The split level Flat had six sash windows and one bay window all of which required cleaning.
The landlord of the property required an end of tenancy window cleaning service to prepare the flat for the arrival of some new tenants, although finding a window cleaner local to the Se15 area had proven difficult.
Spick and Span were contacted after the landlord had visited our website, and was extremely impressed with the ease in which arrangements were made. When doing the work she commented on the lack of fuss brought to her as a result of the way that the work was carried out .
Access to front bay window was restricted by a tree, although this was overcome by using a water-fed pole. The front sash window and bay window was cleaned with a water-fed pole although two sash windows above the bay were inaccessible by pole because of the lip of the bay window below, so these were cleaned from the inside of the property.
Around the back were three sash windows two could be cleaned from outside with the water-fed pole one was above an extension and so had to be cleaned from inside the property.
The landlord had just had the carpets of the home cleaned and so shoe covers were placed over shoes to prevent mud from soiling the carpets and the sash windows were cleaned from inside the house. Once inside It was noticed what a difference the external window cleaning had made. Mud that once clung to the sash windows had been washed off with purified water the only marks that remained were those inside the property which the landlord was cleaning herself.
The windows on the top floor of the house that were above the bay windows were cleaned from off of a step ladder by lowering and raising the sash windows whilst leaning out and mopping the glass, loosening the dirt with soapy water and squeegeeing the glass dry. Any parts of the glass that were missed were wiped with a clean cloth. At the stairwell upstairs was the other window that couldn’t be cleaned from the outside this was cleaned by climbing out of the ladder onto a roof and cleaning with a mop , squeegee and cloth.
At the end of the job the window cleaner was commended for the job done and for the efficiency of the service and a definite promise was made to use Spick and Span window cleaning services again in the near future.
