Spick and Span were able to clean the windows and at the the same time reduce the risk of water running down the panes and damaging paintwork while cleaning by using a purpose built mop-head attached to an internal window cleaning pad .This mop and pad was connected to a telescopic window cleaning , extended to around 25 ft.To lubricate the glass and clean the windows effectively purified water was applied to the pad , this helps attract the dirt from the glass. To ensure that the glass was cleaned thoroughly and that dirt and dust adhering to glass was removed, an up- and- down and side- to- side action was used, whilst applying pressure to the mop head, to clean all the marks away  from the glass. After this window cleaning action had been repeated on all the large glass panels within the hall ,the panes were inspected, and a second stage of cleaning was performed. Upon completion of the glass cleaning in the main hall area of the college, there were noticeable differences after cleaning. Work then shifted to the reception area.

Some of the windows in  the reception/office had to first have some furniture moved before the windows could  be cleaned .

The windows  were  large paned floor to ceiling glass,  these had marks and smears of various descriptions preventing light from entering into in. For instance a milky white chemical substance covered much of the glass, which was the leftover results of previous attempts to clean. After the window cleaner mopped a special window cleaning solution and squeegeed the glass panels, they were again translucent and clear to look through. Seven in total.  At the back of the property was a pitch rook glazed conservatory with glass rook and sides.On the first floor at the front was one large leaded glass window and two smaller windows , with another two small windows at the side,and three larger leaded glass windows at rear.  eight in total.On the second floor  was a Dormer/loft conversion which  had one  large leaded window at the front, one smaller casement window at the side, one smaller and one large window at rear four in total.

Of note with this job is that one of the large windows at the back of the property was over a downstairs neighbours conservatory.

First of all the conservatory roof was cleaned. This was particularly grubby and had green algae covering many of the panes. To clean Spick and Span window cleaners aggravated the the grime and dirt by using a strip washer pad and extension pole, once the dirt was loosened it was the rinsed with a hose pipe. The loft conversion windows were cleaned using a telescopic pole and purified water that was pumped through a brush , after being scrubbed the windows were rinsed with pure water. The first floor windows were cleaned the same way although they required cleaning twice as they had not been cleaned for some time.The ground floor windows were cleaned with  a strip washer and squeegee.The windows at the front and side of the house were also cleaned using the water fed pole method of cleaning with the exception of the ground floor window which were cleaned using a micro fibre cloth. After packing away machinery the work was inspected and payment was received.

Today Spick and Span window cleaners were contracted to clean the windows of an Eco-friendly building currently used as an educational and garden centre in Kennington SE11.

The contemporary building built in 2005, opened by the HRH Prince of Wales in 2007  is set in  Kennington SE11within sight of the House of Commons and the sound of Big Ben .  The glass areas that required cleaning were within the sites training rooms, offices, reception, meeting rooms, toilets  and hall.

The high level glass consisted of approximately 34 panes of varying sizes, the majority of these were cleaned using a 35 ft telescopic window cleaning pole and purified water making it into a very light and airy space once again.

It was noticed that on a number of the window panes of the hallway there was resin like substance that spotted the glass and so this was promptly scrapped from the glass without scratching the surface beneath.

Many of the first floor windows were cleaned externally by standing on a sturdy platform.

As the window cleaner walked around the building through the gardens to access the windows at the back of window care was taken to keep to the pathed areas and high – and low-level glass was thoroughly scrubbed and the rinsed using the purified water window cleaning machine.

The whole job was completed with this method in just forty five minutes, which was most appreciated by these student who had time constraints.
